About Ryan Stallard

I am a current master’s student of chemical engineering working towards a first degree, entering my final year; with aspirations of becoming a chartered engineer in the future. Whilst at university, I have completed projects that include the design and economics of a plasma gasification plant to deal with municipal solid waste and the chemical recycling methods of PET. These are both areas that I would love to work in along with cryogenic treatments, due to genuine interest and the positive environmental impacts these processes have. However, as a graduate I would be more than happy to dive into any area of the chemical industry, whether that be office, lab or more practical based work. The optional module I choose to study for my third year was control and automation due to the versatility of the subject being able to apply it to new renewable energy methods of the future along with the current methods used today which will make adapting to the changes of industry that little bit easier. Over the course of my education I have became adept at using Microsoft excel and other office applications while also gaining a knowledge of both MATLab and aspen HYSYS. I would say I am a confident and inquisitive man who is capable of both leading a group to achieve a specified goal, or fuse together with other team members to work well under the guide of a superior.
