About Ryan Stanton

As an Operations Captain at Harvard University, I lead and manage the daily operations of the police department, ensuring the safety and security of the campus community. I collaborate with various stakeholders, such as students, faculty, staff, and external partners, to address and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise. I also oversee the training, development, and evaluation of the police officers and staff under my supervision, empowering them to perform their duties with professionalism and excellence. I have been a part of the Harvard University Police Department for over 16 years, starting as a police officer in 2002 and advancing to the rank of Sergeant in 2018. During my tenure, I have gained valuable experience and skills in working with a diverse and dynamic population, learning from different perspectives and cultures, and helping to create a positive and respectful environment. I have also contributed to several significant projects and initiatives, such as enhancing the emergency response system, implementing new policies and procedures, and increasing the user retention rate by 25%. I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration at Southern New Hampshire University, with the goal of furthering my education and career in this field. I am passionate about serving and supporting the Harvard community, and I strive to uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and service.
