About Ryan Stillwagon

Postdoctoral scholar focused on systems thinking, applying it to equitable global health research internationally and to food security monitoring within Provincial health authorities in British Columbia. Sociologist trained in research on food and health, sexualities, and cities and communities. I completed my PhD at the University of British Columbia, working with and learning from Two-Spirit activists, food justice community leaders, food scholars, and data scientists to analyze the causes and experiences of food insecurity of queer communities in Canada. I formerly worked as a Research Assistant at NORC at the University of Chicago on studies addressing LGBTQ health disparities across the U.S. with the CDC and on the South Side of Chicago.
