I am a public affairs officer with the U.S. Forest Service Intermountain Region. I can be seen wearing many hats on a daily basis. As a result, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects designed to help my organization get its message out clearly, concisely and accurately. Duties include: Actively create and foster relationships amongst the local community, state government, and federal agencies. Work with local, national, and international news representatives to ensure accurate coverage of U.S. Forest Service Intermountain Region events, issues and milestones. Advise leadership on public affairs issues. Develop public affairs plans, social media policy and presence, civic outreach, internal information, visual information, contingency/crisis response and communication planning. Specialties: Managing, writing, editing, graphic design, video production, public information campaigns, crisis communication planning and execution, social media management and analysis, media analysis, media queries, talking points, branding and internal information.
