About Ryan Tan

From flying Search and Rescue missions to shaping joint force strategy, I spent nearly two decades in the Republic of Singapore Air Force leading complex operations where precision and purpose were non-negotiable. Along the way, I had the rare privilege of serving across the Air Force, Army and Navy - leading teams, driving integration, and adapting rapidly to different domains. Whether piloting helicopters or directing operational strategy, I’ve always thrived where the stakes are high and the mission matters. In 2022, I traded life in the cockpit for the corporate world - joining GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, to lead its workplace management team. I now oversee corporate real estate, facilities, and strategic projects that support nearly employees worldwide. Our mission? Creating spaces where people can do their best work. What connects both chapters of my career is this: I’m impact-first. I’m drawn to environments where clarity, resilience, and collaboration drive results - whether in uniform or in a suit. I’m also a firm believer in the power of teams - diverse, high-performing ones - and in staying adaptable, curious, and grounded even when things move fast.
