About Ryan Thomas

I love design and knew I wanted to be a designer at an early age. For a while I was very interested in programing, but decided I was more interested in it as a hobby than a career. However, these interests both contributed to my interest in web design and development. As a student at Johnson & Wales, I studied web as much as the school could provide, learning basic coding, frameworks, and WordPress before I looked to other places, either online or through friends that I know to help me learn javascript, jQuery, Ruby, and more. I also had a concentration in print while I was there, and loved learning how to create a packages and books and everything else related to the print media. The professors were fantastic, and taught me not just how to design a project, but how to meet deadlines, and deal with clients, and anything else that may come up in my career. I'm currently still studying, and decided to take some animation classes to learn how to create motion graphics and animation in After Effects. I've learned a lot in a very short time, building on my pre-existing knowledge of Flash animation.
