As a Premises Technician, I work both inside and outside in all types of weather conditions. I am responsible for the installation of high speed Internet and voice services for residential and business customers. Primary duties include installing all necessary lines, copper and fiber, from the servicing terminal (aerial and buried) to the destination equipment. I provide education for customers on service features / functionality and verifying all services are working correctly. Follow all safety guidelines while working in a variety of conditions such as small spaces, attics, crawl spaces and telephone pole work. Working with hand tools and power tools. Ensure customer has up to date outside wiring from the serving pole to the home which includes climbing service poles or accessing ground terminals and replacing old and/or placing a new service lines. Specializing in FTTN, FTTC and FTTP installation types. Keeping work vehicle well organized and clean. And being a professional and conscientious driver at all times.
