Portfolio Manager, Vice President. Ryan Laiola is a Commercial Portfolio Manager with the Beverage Finance Group covering the South-East Region with loan assets in excess of $5B. The Beverage Finance Group is a national specialty group that mitigates high-leverage cash flow credits with in-depth specialized industry knowledge of state and federal regulations, supplier chain structures, and competitor analysis. With 10 years of bank underwriting experience, Ryan has worked in Business Banking, Investor CRE, Middle Market C&I, FDIC Loss-Share Portfolio workout, and High-Leverage cash flow credits. While continuing his full-time career, Ryan completed his Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from California State University, Fullerton and published his empirical study thesis regarding the regulatory impact of Tier-1 Capital Ratio metrics in a peer-reviewed academic journal. Ryan lead a Capstone team project for the Small Business Institute (SBI), achieving 2nd place in the national competition and also finished top of class from the Bank's Credit Management Training Program while at his previous employer during that same period. Ryan also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and is a CFA® charterholder. Prior to his banking career, Ryan was a restaurant manager, small business owner, architect intern, commercial real-estate broker intern, and also worked at a Tech startup in Los Angeles.
