Background
About Ryan Velez
I've been a civil engineer for 5 years. I started out of school with a small general civil firm and engaged in a variety of projects for both parish municipalities and architects. Much of my work involved steel, concrete, and timber wharf/pier design as well as marine allision damage assessments through site visits. I transitioned into the world of electrical utilities after Thanksgiving of 2019 and have since been involved with a multitude of substation projects, communication pole placements, and transmission engineering. My current project portfolio includes the following-A four structure 230kV Cut-In for a new substation located near Moss Bluff, LA -A three structure 230kV generation tie line located in Coolidge, AZ -A two structure 115kV generation tie line located near Eureka, MS-A single structure 138KV generation tie line located within the Fulton County, OH area. I have been heavily involved in projects through all phases from bidding to engineering and construction administration. I’m very well versed in assisting with procurement activities and striving to meet project schedules through improvement of material lead times. I have established strong repertoire with clients and am actively engaged at all times with promoting client satisfaction through open discourse and design package review.
