About Ryan Walery

I am an engineering team leader focused on innovation, team building, continuous improvement, and production support in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment consisting of numerous complex processes and technologies. I deeply enjoy what I do, but am always looking for a better way to do it. I challenge myself to think out-of-the-box on problems big and small, and pose the same challenge to members of my team. I am not a delegator - I roll up my sleeves, get my hands dirty, and lead by example. I have learned that charisma in and of itself is often the greatest contribution to one’s leadership skillset. Currently, my priority is in building an ever-stronger team of engineers. This team will work to support both our legacy products and paradigm-shifting projects, including the implementation of automation in production applications, the installation and validation of large new capital equipment, and in utilizing lean and six sigma tools to improve plant operations and processes. I also work closely with other departments to support improvement company-wide. I am committed to leading a team with clear KPIs and Objectives, as well as helping other teams do the same. My passion is, and will always be, on production processes and on the shop floor. I greatly value a data driven approach where operational metrics drive the decision making process, but also where strategic thinking is employed to assure that actions are sustainable.
