I was excited to see openings at your agency and I am pleased to submit my application that I viewed for your Rehabilitation position. I am interested and concerned in pursuing the Rehabilitation profession, specifically working with persons with severe disabilities, in the area of children and families, mental health, and more. I am a hard worker with great time management and communication skills with having the potential to meet and exceed your expectations. While interning at Arkansas Rehabilitation Services in Little Rock, Arkansas I completed over 600 hours of observation and assisted vocational rehabilitation counselors on a daily basis. The duties included, serving clients with intake process, providing supportive employment, and independent living services. I also had the opportunity to be a part of many informative meetings with the District Manager of the Agency and being introduced to several State Representatives of Little Rock, Arkansas. During my internship at K.A.M. Alliance Mental Health Clinic in Chicago, Illinois I was educated and instructed to work with many clients that suffered from bipolar and schizophrenic disorders. During my time there, I was responsible for conducting group therapy sessions with clients, filing paperwork in designated areas to comply with personal health information regulations, entry data, answering phone calls, and also performed routine toxicology tests for clients. Moreover, the customer service and strong communication skills gained through my previous experience will contribute to my capacity to be thriving in this position.
