About Ryan Windsor

Ryan Windsor is a leader and businessman who acts on his commitment to the environment, tackling climate change, and fiscal responsibility in everything he does. Elected as Mayor of Central Saanich in 2014, Ryan led the implementation of the municipality’s climate leadership plan to reduce greenhouse gases, especially from transportation and municipal buildings. He also worked with neighbouring communities and the federal government to tackle marine pollution. At the same time, Ryan helped guide the financial plan that will save taxpayers money by paying off the debt on community safety building years ahead of schedule. Ryan helps operate his family’s award-winning winery and distillery, de Vine Wines and Spirits, and was its General Manager until he was elected Mayor. The entire operation focuses on sustainability and local, with ingredients grown on site or sourced from the Saanich Peninsula and Fraser Valley. An active community volunteer, Ryan has dedicated his time to working to restore habitat in local streams and creeks, helping educate children about farming and the food we eat, and is a proud Rotarian. Ryan is married with two young children.
