About Ryan Winterink

I am a dedicated Security Professional with experience in different Security fields. Most of my security experience is at a supervisor or higher level. I work closely with Management teams and have worked on many projects to improve security service delivery. I have 15 plus years experience working with in the Security Industry. Most of this has been in Healthcare. Currently I am the Security Operations Supervisor working full time at Lakeridge Health in Durham Region. I was an interim manager during this time. The role is part of the Security Management Team for the Corporation with 5 Sites and many community program sites. I am a member of the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS). I have also been working for 5 plus years in event security at a sporting and concert venue in the City of Oshawa. I have also spent a portion of my years as casual front line Security guard working at the Scarborough Hospital Network Centenary Site for close to 5 years. I have great customer service skills and the ability to use communication to assist in de-escalation of crisis situations when needed. Can work fast and safely in high risk situations to obtain a positive outcome for all the parties involved in situations. Have been trained and continue to re-certify when needed in the Use of Force and Handcuffing, Non-violent Crisis Intervention which I was also a certified instructor in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and am certified in smart serve.
