About Ryan Yakel

Mr. Yakel has participated in the design and construction of over 350 country clubs, city clubs, yacht clubs, and high-end daily fee facilities throughout the United States. Mr. Yakel served as the project architect and designer for various clubs including the Fort Worth Petrolem Club, Greenville Country Club in South Carolina and Hillwood Country Club in Nashville. His various design and construction projects include Royal Oaks Country Club, Northwood Club, Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas, and The Woodlands Country Club/Palmer Course and Player Clubhouses in Houston. Recent projects include The Golf Club at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia serving the resort/conference center hotel and the new Sonatrach Petroleum Club project in Algiers, Algeria. This resort complex includes a sf clubhouse, a 65-room high-end hotel, and a sf spa, fitness, and indoor pool structure all near the Mediterranean Sea. Many of Mr. Yakel’s projects have been featured in Club Management, Golf Inc. and Club & Resort Business Magazines throughout the years. He has been a speaker for educational seminars for the CMAA World Conferences on Club Management, CMAA Regional/State Chapters, and Crittenden. In addition, Mr. Yakel has also authored numerous articles for BoardRoom Magazine. Two of Mr. Yakel’s projects familiar to club members across the nation are the extensive remodel of the 1920’s classic English Tudor Clubhouse for Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York (Home to every major professional golf tournament, including the Ryder Cup) and the California Mission Style “sister club” to Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, the Poppy Ridge Golf Course Clubhouse near San Francisco for the Northern California Golf Association.
