About Ryan Young

I represent the Iowa Energy Office to energy officials across the country as well as industry stakeholders across the state. I'm responsible for tracking and communicating success of the Energy Plan and related programs to state leaders, national partners, and industry executives and stakeholders. I am regularly called to facilitate discussions and make presentations to industry professionals about Iowa energy programs and policies. My responsibilities also include vetting and reviewing program applications for Energy Plan applicability, growth potential, statewide benefit, innovative and replicable qualities and implementation potential before recommending approval to IEDA Director to utilize energy federal grants. This work allows the Energy Office to strengthen relationships with energy stakeholders by meeting with them, soliciting their views, informing them of energy programs at IEDA, and gathering input and information for possible dissemination to necessary partners and stakeholders.Specialties: Program management in an often complex and technical fields as well as management experience. Tremendous personal skills, team approach and positive attitude.
