About Ryen Odom

Ryen is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she majored in Psychology and Women's Studies and Wayne State University where she received her Master's of Education in Community Health Education. Ryen was a 2014 Teach for America corps member in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas teaching 7th-grade science. Ryen is a 2015 Teach for America Alumna in Detroit. She taught fourth grade for three years and third grade for one year. Currently, she teaches second grade at Detroit Prep. Ryen is also currently attending Wayne State University completing an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Certificate in Administration and Supervision and plans to transition into administration after the completion of her studies.
