I have worked as a Clinical/Research Technologist in the field of Infectious Disease Molecular Diagnostics for the past fifteen years. I have participated in more than 50 clinical trials, which include 35 studies of IVDs for FDA clearance. I have experience in the development and validation of new molecular diagnostic assays for a wide variety of infectious diseases. I have been responsible for the oversight of FDA IVD clinical trial testing including sample selection and management, perform the technical aspects of the trials, and submission of all documentation and records required. I have also participated in a previous SBIR grant for the development of a molecular based malaria assay. Based on my extensive experience I therefore believe I am well qualified to perform testing for SBIR projects and IVD trials. I also run routine molecular diagnostic assays that are PCR based.
