About Ryland Cook

Hi, I'm Ryland! I'm currently studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, graduating in December 2024. This past summer, I had the chance to work as a Cloud and Platform Engineering Intern at HealthPartners, where I built and maintained integration solutions using IBM technologies like ACE, MQ, and ESB to help improve data flow in the healthcare industry.I'm passionate about developing creative and efficient solutions, and I’ve worked on some fun projects, like creating a server monitoring dashboard with Node.js, Vue.js, and PostgreSQL. I also built a machine learning model for music genre classification using Python and PyTorch.Outside of tech, I’m a huge fan of music and spent some time as a marching band instructor, where I helped lead a group to a second-place finish at the Minnesota State Championships. I also marched 3 years with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps based in La Crosse, WI!I love learning new things and collaborating with others on interesting projects.
