About Rylee Evans

Rylee is currently in her second year of the Primary Care Paramedic program in London, Ontario at Fanshawe College. Her previous education includes completing the Pre-Service Firefighting program at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario with the Deans Honour roll. Rylee enjoys remaining active within her community and does so by volunteering at various events. From being the Tiverton ambassador in her hometown, to volunteering regularly with opportunities that come up throughout her previous and current program, she has a wide range of volunteer experience. She has also been volunteering with the Fanshawe Student Emergency Response Team (SERT) as a medical first responder where she gets to practice responding to various medical calls throughout the Fanshawe campus. Along with education and volunteering, Rylee also continues to gain work experience related to her field. Since graduating the Pre-Service Firefighting program at Conestoga, she has been working as a patient transfer attendant with Voyago and continued to work with them after moving back home at the Wingham base, as well as after moving to school in London. This year Rylee is taking on a new role as the SERT leader, where she will get to train and lead other first responders throughout the year. This role will allow her to help others become good first responders and will also improve her responsibility and organizational skills. Rylee also has a wide range of experience in working with children, as she has been working with them ever since she was allowed to babysit. She has come across various types of behaviours and disorders she needed to work, which made her a lot more knowledgable with children. There are also a lot of hobbies Rylee has outside of school. She loves to play various sports, including gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, badminton, as well as workout on a regular basis. One of her proudest accomplishments includes winning an OFSAA gold medal in gymnastics on the uneven bars event. She also likes to cook and practice healthy eating. A lot of Rylee’s life was also spent helping out at the Harbour Church in Kincardine, Ontario. She actively volunteered there whenever possible, which also brought her closer to her community. She was involved in a short weekend missions trip to Toronto where she helped serve food for the homeless and learned their stories. Rylee is looking forward to completing the Primary Care Paramedic program in April 2021 and begin applying to Paramedic Services.
