About Rylee Firestone

I am currently a Freshman at IU, pursuing a double major in Finance and Accounting. While my focus on finance aligns with my aspirations of becoming an investment banker, my interest in analytical thinking and problem-solving has lead me to pursue a double major in Accounting. Currently, I serve as the Finance Director in Women in Accounting, and I'm actively involved in the Corporate Relations Committee for Dance Marathon. Additionally, I've joined the Private Equity Venture Capital Club, Financial Investment Review, and the First Generation Investors group which allows me to continue my passion for helping others that was nurtured through my experiences in golf. My dedication and passion for golf drives me to strive for improvement every day continuously. The countless hours I've spent on the course have not only taught me the values of hard work and dedication but have also allowed me to teach new members of my team and the community. This experience has been incredibly rewarding as I've had the opportunity to not only share my love for golf but also guide others through the emotionally draining and challenging aspects of the sport. Through coaching, I've learned numerous life lessons and have grown personally, preparing me for my journey here at IU. The lessons I've learned from golf—striving for excellence, hard work, and dedication—have greatly benefited me at IU, where I continue to pursue excellence and seize every opportunity to get involved.
