About Ryley McConkey
I am in the final year of my PhD at the University of Waterloo (expected graduation Summer 2024). Since 2020, my PhD research has focused on applying machine learning techniques to improve engineering fluid dynamics simulations. I have spent the majority of my 4 year PhD implementing data pipelines, training & evaluating models, and running complex numerical simulations. My publications have included the first curated dataset in my field, a new purpose-built model architecture, and publications which investigate other key research questions.
