About Ryu Okazaki

Hi! I am a CELTA certified educator who is looking to find a teaching position abroad. I have experience teaching my own lesson plans in the classroom, and I use up to date technological apps and programming to create engaging lesson plans for students. I am also part of the teaching credential program at California State University, Long Beach looking to work in secondary education as an educator. As a student part of the teaching credential program, I have built experience in designing lesson plans, conducting observations in real classroom settings, and learning pedagogy from leading educational theorists. I am an advocate for culturally responsive pedagogy in the classroom and am enthusiastic about bringing my creativity and passion to the classroom. Serving people and making their day better is my lifelong commitment. I have worked as a substitute teacher for over 20+ different schools and constantly went above expectations by bonding with the students and pushing them for success. I have also worked as a team leader for a start-up company in which I recruited and trained over 10 employees and generated loyal customers and constant positive feedback from customers. I am an adventurer and always keep an open mind to allow new experiences or perspectives to help develop myself into a better person. I love to travel and let life surprise me with the box of chocolates that they have to offer. My hobbies include traveling, composing/listening to music, archery, and cooking.
