About Saad Ali

I graduated from Southern Methodist University, majoring in Biological Sciences with minors in Psychology and Neuroscience. During my senior year of his undergraduate, I worked as an undergraduate research assistant for the Norris Lab at SMU by looking at the purpose of microexons and their potential effects of including versus excluding in C. elegans. I am currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Southern Methodist University and continuing my graduate research work of looking at the effects of microexons with the Norris Lab using the unc13 microexon and manipulating conditions with the bicolor splicing reporter to test its effects. I also worked part-time work as a pharmacy technician at Kroger Pharmacy from my freshmen to junior year of undergraduate. After, I became a volunteer medical scribe at a cardiologist office located in Plano, TX. By gathering experience in clinical, pharmacy, and research, I have been exposed to multiple areas of healthcare and developed skills that will help me as I continues my journey through healthcare.
