About Saadia Basharat

I'm passionate about helping biotech and pharma companies translate scientific ideas into therapeutics that really benefit patients. As a management consultant, I am brought in when a company is in the critical stages of making an important business decision e.g, whether to invest, drop a program, which direction to take a pipeline product in, or partner with another company. Having now worked with over 100 companies across the industry, I have developed a very sound and constructive style for helping my clients. My experience includes technical and commercial due diligence of therapeutics, out-licensing and asset valuations, business plan development, and technology scouting (in-licensing). Much of my work not only involves supporting biotech and pharma companies, but also investors (particularly VCs) and academic institutions. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Informatics, a MSc in Molecular Medicine and a Ph.D. in Neuroendocrinology from Imperial College London, as well as a Certificate in Pharma-Biotech Product & Company Valuation. I'm also currently a Board Member at GenEmbryomics where, alongside my colleagues, I provide oversight and governance of GenEmbryomics' business strategy and operations. GenEmbryomics aims to become the go-to partner for preimplantation genomic testing (PGT) solutions in the in-vitro fertilization (IVF) industry.
