About Saana Tikkanen

My design work is about hunting future-proof business: solutions that combine business, customer value and sustainability. Sustainability is core business, and I wouldn’t want to be solving anything less meaningful but to search for well-thought, sustainable business solutions. Before I was solving the link between customer experience and business. Today the third component for the companies to consider is sustainability: the impact on nature or society. Winning solutions are on a healthy level in all of these. My core skill is design thinking, which I use to identify and understand what is the real problem to solve, and to solve it well. I have worked with business developers, human insight analysts, kick-ass designers and tech experts in both large company and startup modes. My design and advisory skills include strategic and practical, human, business, technology and sustainability viewpoints. Some might say I’m the one connecting the dots between strategy and design. My background is in industrial and strategic design & Creative sustainability, Aalto-university. Specialties: Design-thinking, service design, business design, human insight, sustainability. I love what I do. We’re living the times of a big change.
