About Saara Sumu

I am a diligent M.Sc. economics student at Aalto University School of Business. While the focus of my studies has been on environmental economics, I have some background outside economics as well – primarily in finance and sustainability. During the past five years, I have acquired work experience in diverse fields, including environmental economics research, data analysis, market analysis, management consulting, and export control, to name a few. Economy-related, environmental, and financial topics are the ones I am enthusiastic about, and environmental sustainability is a core value for me. I possess excellent skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. In addition, I have knowledge of Stata and SQL, while SAP was the main software I used in one of my former positions. I am a highly analytical person, and logical thinking is one of my strengths. While I love mathematics, I am also good at writing: For example, five of my letters to the editor have been published in Helsingin Sanomat. It is typical for me to set high goals and relentlessly strive to achieve them.
