About Saba Aqel

I serve clients who look to expand their self-awareness, emotional and psychological flexibility, and improve their quality of life with MHDs. I have helped clients who struggle with various MHDs and highly enjoy working with immigrant and 1st & 2nd generation clients. I have been involved in mental and medical health research investigating the impacts of both social stress and exercise on the immune system. Additionally, I have carried out research investigating the impact of immune system inhibitors on autoimmune disorders. Recently, I have dedicated myself to further understanding the experiences of 1st & 2nd generation immigrants in the US through the mental health lens, community advocacy, and empowerment. Currently, I work as a therapist in the private practice setting.
