About Sabaa Belkadi

After several years working in eye care, most recently as an Ophthalmic Technician at BostonSight, I’ve made the decision to transition from the optometry track to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, starting Fall 2025. This shift stems from a deepening interest in the science behind how drugs work—especially those used to treat eye disorders. My clinical background gave me firsthand exposure to the challenges patients face with conditions like dry eye disease, keratoconus, and ocular inflammation, sparking my curiosity about the therapeutic agents used in treatment and how they can be improved. I’m particularly interested in research surrounding drug mechanisms, ocular pharmacology, and innovative drug delivery systems. I’ve also conducted independent research related to visual function, and I’m eager to build on that experience in a pharmaceutical research setting. As I enter the next phase of my career, I’m excited to bring a patient-centered, research-driven perspective to the field of pharmacy.
