About Sable Showman

I'm an engineer at heart, and love being creative and finding solutions to problems. My past professional experience ranged over 25 years of IT work, including working in senior management roles, but ultimately I do my best being hands-on so IT engineering became my thing. In 2023, after 25 years in IT and after some life and medical challenges at the time, I decided to retire for a bit then ultimately hit the reset button on life in general and moved to Oregon. I'm still working on finding where I belong and continue to explore new places and opportunities. As a woman with autism, I do my best to work with the challenges I have with social anxiety and sensory processing issues to be as successful as I can be. I have tremendous strengths in problem solving and organizational skills combined with over 25 years working in all aspects of IT. Outside of work I'm a nature fanatic and just love connecting with the earth. I love exploring, camping, biking on forest trails, beachcombing, and fishing. When the weather isn't cooperating, I love theatre (season ticket holder for Portland Center Stage), 3D printing, electronics, and personal building projects like my Ford Transit Connect van that I built out with solar and all the off-grid amenities.
