About Sabrena Oconnor

Throughout my career, I have consistently used a results-driven approach in handling all aspects of my responsibilities. I effectively leveraged my experience and leadership, technology, quality control, and program development tools to achieve these results. I am employed with the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Working in healthcare has helped me to achieve extensive experience coordinating the only CenteringParenting program in the state of South Carolina as well as coordinating quality improvement initiatives, program development, team building and collaboration. I am excited to be at the forefront of change within the Healthcare system. I foster team commitment within our quality improvement team through facilitating routine meetings with the focus of imparting a sense of team, ownership and pride, while increasing workplace understanding of the organizational priorities, goals and direction. I have excellent organizational skills and enjoy initiating and completing exciting changes that propagate knowledge on patient-centered care and population health. I am a natural leader and team player. Specialties: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, public policy, community health, optimal public health outcomes, clinical research and education. Special interests include grant writing, adolescent risk research, primary care research initiatives, technology, and program development leadership.
