I am an advocate and agent for organisational change and continuous improvement – never for its own sake, but where events, technology, trend, markets and competitors alter the landscape. Business has five critical disciplines: People, Mindset, Processes, Technology and Finance – my role is to understand how they can be woven together, and then develop systems and process that support client delivery that gives the organisation a competitive edge. This means functions have to work together and there’s no room for egos and fiefdoms. I’m not out front and centre, but working behind to provide foundation, structure, and depth. I have regularly been described as the glue which makes different parts work together allowing me run cross functional teams or inter-departmental projects.
