I am a seasoned congressional staffer with a decade of service to the U.S. House of Representatives, now serving on a U.S. Senate staff within my state. As such, I have a proven record of contributing to building and maintaining an exceptional public service brand for my employers. I am a passionate advocate, adept at liaising between the public and government entities. I have developed a good nose for effective communications and storytelling for earned media. I enjoy building relationships with federal, state, and municipal government counterparts, and with stakeholders and decision-makers in other fields such as labor unions, the agricultural sector, community and economic development, healthcare, higher education, and many more. I am an ENFP with a keen sense for how best to work with diverse personalities. I am an alumna of Contemplative Leaders in Action (CLA), a leadership development program run under the auspices of the Jesuits. Outside of work my hobbies and interests include classic film and history and community theater and I enjoy touring historic homes or landmarks or enjoying the programming on Turner Classic Movies or preparing for a role in local theatrical productions. Academic: the community college and career and technical school classroom, literary studies, creative writing, composition instruction, film studies. Other: copy editing, content editing, research.
