About Sabrina Vodnik

Refined Haystack came to life as a result of the challenges I faced when renovating my own home. After 2+ years spent and many mistakes made in design and decor, I first regretted not hiring an interior design professional to help me realize my vision. Second throughout the process, one of my biggest struggles was in researching "local, more boutique" interiors stores and showrooms online to visit and shop; there wasn't a website that provided a listing of local design resources I could trust. Refined Haystack, is a curated local guide to home interiors, from shopping to professionals. We market the site to homeowners and those working with new homeowner clientele. Real estate agents and sites, for example, also act as local experts (a concierge) when it comes to getting to know an area better - they know specifics about neighborhoods, statistics, schools, etc and have a database of trusted referrals they can offer their clients when it comes to local needs or recommendations. Refined Haystack aims to be their trusted referral when it comes to local interior design expertise while offering value-add programs to enhance one's position. The site supports the interior design industry, offering luxury interior designers, sources, and other industry professionals enhanced opportunities for networking, brand awareness, and the exchange of fresh ideas and authentic recommendations. The site also creates and offers unique gift programs with participating source members. Driven by designers and their engagement, Refined Haystacks curated database helps our members find what they're looking for when it comes to the best in local design - from shopping to design services. This represents what Refined Haystack is today. Includes my past experiences, working for Coalesse at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, my background in marketing, and my extensive field research within the interiors community and those businesses connected to them.
