About Sacha S.

My journey in the Crane industry began with repairing, maintaining and overhauling cranes while completing my apprenticeship as a heavy vehicle mechanic specialising in cranes. I have developed a solid technical/problem solving foundation combined with a strong work ethic, passion and drive to succeed. I'm continually increasing my knowledge and experience in various aspects of the crane industry that are available to me including Rigging, Operating, Lift Planning, Engineering, Transport, Safety, Sales and Management. I have worked with Crawlers, Rough Terrain and All Terrain Cranes up to 600t on both onshore and offshore projects and with loads in excess of 200t, utilising both single and dual crane lifts. I have an Open Crane ticket and Intermediate Riggers ticket which complements my mechanical background. Utilising guidance and advice from my mentors and peers, I have also significantly increased my business acumen through regular reporting, tendering/estimating and contract negotiations. In addition to this I have gained experience in monitoring & evaluating budgets, purchasing and P & Ls, which allows me to make sound decisions for the business. I believe my strong interpersonal skills alongside my approachable nature allow me to efficiently and effectively manage and communicate with operational, administrative and technical staff as well as management. This enables me to keep everyone working together to achieve the required results. Now as the owner of a Crane company I’m able to put the various skills I have picked up over my 20 plus years in the industry.
