About Sacha Telfer

I am a recent graduate from the school ofGeneral Studies School at Columbia University. I graduated with a BA in African American and African Diaspora Studies with a concentration in Education Studies. I My passion lies in education but outside of traditional classroom walls. I would like to focus on educational testing especially as it affects under-privileged populations. Prior to pursuing higher education I was a professional nanny and tutor in the New York City for over a decade and had the pleasure of working alongside a variety of staff within the educational realm. I was also made privy to types of extensive educational support that those with more means than others posses and would like to do my part in reducing the disparity between different populations of students. As my interests are interdisciplinary I would very much be interested in any industry that would allow me to further explore my interests in education, psychology, or diversity.
