About Sade McDowell

I graduated with my BSW and Clinical MSW from Norfolk State University. I am currently a LCSW Supervisee (LE) and have been providing mental health care for the past 7 years. I am dedicated to continue to learn and grow with the field. I enjoy discovering innovative ways to serve those in need and consider myself as a life long dedicated learner. In practice, I lead with Person Centered, Strengths Perspective, Solution Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and DBT approaches. I am always willing to train and learn new skills. I believe clients are the experts on their own situation and there’s so much to learn per listening. The rapport building phase is especially crucial and I honor the unconditional - consistent positive therapeutic regard approach. I value integrity, honesty, hard work and education. As a social servant, it is my desire to assist individuals, families, groups and organizations meet their desired goals with emphasis in holistic wellness, goal setting, self-improvement, enhancement and social well-being.
