About Sadegh Beikverdi

I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, where I work on a project that investigates the structural biology of the RET protein, a key factor in various diseases and disorders. I use cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM), a state-of-the-art technique that enables me to visualize the molecular architecture of complex biological systems with high resolution and accuracy. I have a strong background in biomedicine, with two master's degrees in biomedicine and microbial biotechnology, and several research projects in diverse areas, such as immunology, vaccine development, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, neuroscience, ophthalmology, and cancer. I have published four research articles in international journals and presented multiple conference papers. I have also gained hands-on experience in animal work, including animal husbandry, handling, administration, observation, and sample collection. I am highly motivated and passionate about conducting high-level biomedical research that can advance science and medicine. I perform my tasks responsibly, efficiently, and independently, while also collaborating and communicating effectively with my colleagues and supervisors. I am always eager to learn new skills and techniques, and to apply them to solve challenging problems. My goal is to pursue a career as a biomedical scientist in academia or industry, where I can use my knowledge, skills, and expertise to make a positive impact on human health and well-being.
