About Sadhvi Dar

Hello and thank you for viewing my profile page. I am primarily a research academic with an artistic practice and some training in psychotherapy. I have a first degree in Psychology and a PhD in Management Studies. I have an established presence in the postcolonial and decolonizing studies scholarly communities within the field of management and organization studies. My research is interdisciplinary - integrating decolonial theory, postcolonial studies and feminisms of colour - notably Chicana and Black feminisms. My work has been published in Human Relations, Antipode, Organization Studies, Gender, Work & Organization, Organization and Management International. I have been co-organizing anti-racist and decolonizing events and workshops at international conferences since 2005, this includes streams at International Critical Management Studies Conference, LAEMOS, APROS, and at the Academy of Management. I am also co-founding member of the online activist community: the Decolonizing Alliance. I am Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy. My other projects include: Building the Anti Racist Classroom collective (2017-2022) and BreakThrough! Women’s Cafe - an initiative that centers the knowledges and experiences of women of colour through acts community building, self care and careers-related activities.
