About Sadie Boyd

I graduated with a degree in Industrial Design, specializing in Outdoor Product Design, with a minor in Textile Science and Product Performance. This background has shaped my approach to product development, helping blend my textile expertise with performance-driven design to create high-quality outdoor gear. During college, I became fascinated with textiles, including everything from their composition, structure, and performance properties like durability, thermal regulation, and moisture management. I loved diving into how materials function in real-world conditions and how design choices impact the user experience. My time at Iowa State also sparked a deep interest in Biomimicry, using nature as a blueprint for more sustainable solutions. Something I’m still passionate about today. After graduating, I found my stride in Product Development, where I get to be hands-on from the earliest concept sketches to sampling, product fitting, and building detailed data libraries that track a product’s life cycle. As a Designer/Developer, I love collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring products to market that are not just functional, but also thoughtful, durable, and ready to perform.
