Background
About Sadron Lampert
I write stories that empower, inform, and uplift, and get them to the people who need to hear them the most. Storytelling—whether delivered by speech, video, publication, or blog—is my passion and lifeblood, and harnessing the power of stories to forge meaningful interactions has been the proudest achievement of my career. Why do stories matter? A well-told story implants ideas and memories that stick with you, even if the details fade over time. A story means the difference between force-feeding an audience information that means nothing to them and taking them on a journey that delivers the exact same information in a way that speaks directly to them. I’ve made it my life’s work to find stories with universal themes and common humanity for my clients—whether those clients are a Fortune 500 company, a government agency, or a person who’s received a devastating, life-changing diagnosis. When I talk to my clients, I’m not trying to convince them that I’m “the expert.” I’m trying to help them understand they are the expert in their story. My role is to ask questions that gently probe and sift through their experiences, emotions, and ideas to tease out the most crucial parts of their story while zeroing in on the key messages they want to share. I offer a fresh, unbiased perspective and pull together the threads of their experience into themes they may not see themselves. All the while, I listen carefully to better understand their unique voice. If I’m going to write a story that’s true to them, I need to disappear completely into that voice. How do I know I’ve helped my client succeed? When I see a transformation take place—in the storyteller as they realize they have something important to share, and in the audience when they have their eyes opened to a new truth or learn something that validates their own experiences or emotions. And when I can play some small role in helping others or affecting meaningful change through my writing, I know I’ve succeeded too.
