About Saeed Babalola

I am a Carleton University Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in English with a minor in History. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Education (BEd) at the University of Ottawa, aiming to become a teacher. Over my academic career, I have developed a deep passion for education, community engagement, and youth development. My journey blends academic excellence, creative expression through poetry and youth leadership. I’ve performed at events like the Ottawa Fringe Festival and CBC Ottawa’s "Voices of Young Poets," using storytelling to inspire and represent diverse voices. As a Peer Mentor with Youth Futures and an Advanced Intermediate Youth Worker at BGC Ottawa, I’ve guided and empowered youth through leadership training, educational programs, and community initiatives. My experiences have equipped me with the skills to create impactful, adaptive learning environments, driven by a dedication to mentorship, representation, and meaningful change.
