About Safiullah Sarker

I have guided and prepared research concepts and proposals for different project. • I have conducted data analysis, data reviews, and reporting of research data for evaluation and quality using SPSS. EPI info. I have also dissemination experience of HIV sero-surveillance and other project data. • I have developed training materials and conducted training for study implementation. I have prepared and conducted training as a facilitator for more than fifty events. I have prepared at least sixty SOPs for good laboratory practice (GCLP) and as part of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditation. • I have developed, reviewed and maintains key study documents to ensure adequate resource and reference documentation for the team. I usually use EndNoteX as reference manager and built library for digital repository of scientific literature. • I have liaison with internal and external partners to ensure effective collaboration efforts ( for example with IEDCR, HARVARD). Mentoring: I have guided and supervised undergraduate, graduate and post graduate students of different Universities for their thesis work. I have guided twenty M. Sc, two M. Phil, two MPH and two PhD students. Visiting Lecturer: We have been conducting National HIV Surveillance since 1998 on behalf of Government of Bangladesh. I have to prepare our findings and disseminated in different national and international forum (BSMMU, UNAIDS, UNICEF, Gunma University, Japan and International AIDS Conference, Osaka, Japan). Additionally before starting a project we have to train new staffs. So, far I have trained more than hundred Medical graduate, Microbiologist, Biochemist, Laboratory Technologist, field Officer and field assistants. Journal Reviewer (External): I have reviewed articles of Yonsei Medical Journal and Virology Journal as an external reviewer.
