About Sagar Thapar

Sales has been my passion since the young age. I began my professional journey with a few entrepreneurial ventures and discovered I was good at talking and converting those talks to sales. I learnt the importance of commitment, service, delivery, reputation and goodwill in sales. I then moved to the BFSI sector and am currently handling the Private Banking function and Retail Asset portfolio in Yes Bank. The banking sector deals with public funds and involves a high degree of trust, honesty and transparency. As someone who enjoys interacting and building bonds with people, this came to me naturally. With time I honed my relationship building skills and excelled in the role of a financial advisor. To challenge myself further, I moved to the marketing function. This experience taught me more about customer needs and expectations. I learned to identify gaps and improve sales strategies for the organization and end user benefit. I eventually moved to the product division to get a deeper business understanding. Through the 15 years’ experience, my passion for sales remained with me. There are certainly more things to learn and more relationships to build and more problems to solve. A chance to grow professionally motivates me.
