About Sage Bledsoe

I have a wide variety of animal experience in multiple different fields. I have veterinary technology training and experience in my current role at the Humane Society. I work in the low cost spay/neuter surgery facility, the low cost wellness clinic as well as with the shelter animals and my schedule fluctuates weekly. I also am simultaneously the records administrator. I work from home to input all the new shelter intakes into our system. I receive upwards of 20 or more intakes weekly and input them within 48 hours. Before my technician role, I worked as a kennel technician for the Humane Society. I provided all overall care for the animals and began as a volunteer veterinary assistant while in this role. As for equine experience, I worked as a groom a few years ago. Keeping up with routine barn maintenance, assisting riders, as well as feeding and medicating horses. I traveled out of state to provide services at the shows. I also shortly apprenticed for a farrier, Shawn Jackson, whom I met while at the barn. He taught me the ropes of farrier work and I fell in love with it. I also had a short experience as a zookeeper intern where I learned about diet preparation and animal husbandry. I am a full time working student with a 3.4 GPA. I understand the value of hard work and am willing to do any work put forth for me.
