About Sahar Akbar

I am a Textile graduate from a well reputed university of Pakistan "Asian Institute of Fashion Design ( A.I.F.D)". In addition to being a qualified designer, I am also a dedicated artist who likes to create artistic patterns on different mediums. I am immensely captivated by art like Aboriginal art, Psychedelic designs, African art and many more. My work is mainly done using these forms of art. Working as a Textile Designer with Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited in Pakistan was the first step towards my career. I got an opportunity to work under highly professional designers and created compositions based on various themes. My passion for teaching Arts drove me to join a school in UAE "The Rosary School" where teaching Arts and Crafts was great fun and at the same time was heading the Arts department of the school too. I am a well organized teacher who has excellent classroom management and discipline. I strongly believe that that a sense of humour and flexible approach are the two important ingredients in a classroom. Apart from this, working with ChenOne UAE was yet another a remarkable experience. I was hired as the company's Interior Designer and made sure that I fulfilled the entire responsibility of being the only designer of the brand. At present, I am a freelancer and associated with Al Tamimi Investments ( SENSE) where I am conducting sessions on Art and Design to children with special needs.
