GATE 'Physics' Qualified TOEFL Qualified GRE ‘Physics’ Qualified GRE ‘General’ Qualified IIT JAM 'Physics' Qualified WBJEE Qualified I am a passionate researcher in Material Science and Nanotechnology, currently pursuing a joint Ph.D. program at IIT Kanpur, India and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan. My research focuses on advancing energy storage technologies, including lithium-ion batteries and redox supercapacitors. Specifically, I work on pre-lithiation and improving the stability of silicon anodes for lithium-ion batteries without compromising their specific capacity. With hands-on expertise in advanced characterization techniques such as SEM, RAMAN, XRD, and DSC-TGA, I specialize in both synthesis and performance evaluation of energy materials. I have extensive experience with laboratory instruments, including glove boxes, spin coaters, different kinds of furnaces, and battery testing setups, as well as material synthesis methods like CVD and thermal and e-beam evaporation, hydrothermal and solvothermal method. Proficient in data analysis and visualization using Origin, I also have programming experience in C, C++, FORTRAN, with a basic understanding of DFT using Quantum ESPRESSO. I have experience of prepaing and maintaining quality-related documents such as procedures, records of inspections, and SOPs (Standard operating procedures) for instruments like 'centrifuge' and 'ball milling'. My work reflects a strong foundation in functional materials and nanoparticle synthesis and characterization, enabling me to contribute to innovative energy storage solutions. A highlight of my research journey includes publishing a book chapter titled "Traditional Electrode Materials for Supercapacitor Applications"(Handbook of Nanocomposite Supercapacitor Materials IV, Springer, 2023). My teaching experience spans roles as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, where I guided students in physics and material science. Additionally, I have worked with specially abled children at IIT Madras and volunteered to teach underprivileged kids at an NGO in Kanpur, reflecting my dedication to education and community service. Outside the lab, I enjoy photography and traveling, which fuel my creativity and curiosity.
