I am a Network and Security Engineer with over 9 years of diversified experience delivering robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions across enterprise and service provider environments. My expertise lies in building and maintaining networks that balance operational stability, high availability, and advanced security. Over the years, I have gained hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, MPLS, EtherChannel, VPNs, load balancing, and advanced IP routing protocols (RIPv2, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP). I have successfully deployed, supported, and troubleshot complex VLAN environments with STP, PVST, RSTP, inter-VLAN routing, port security, LACP, and 802.1q trunking to ensure network resiliency and efficiency. My background includes configuring and managing a wide range of Cisco routers (7200, 3800, 3600, 2800, 2600, 800 series) and switches (2900, 3500, 3750, 6500 series). I have also executed large-scale projects such as the design and configuration of the GM Financial core network, leveraging Ethernet MPLS links, Cisco 6500/4500/4500x platforms, and BGP/OSPF for optimized WAN connectivity. In network security, I bring deep expertise across Cisco PIX, ASA 5500 series, Checkpoint (NG, NGX, R55–R75, UTM), and Palo Alto firewalls (PA-200 to PA-5060). I’ve deployed advanced firewall solutions with Panorama for centralized management and WildFire for threat prevention, as well as supported distributed setups with GAIA, SPLAT, Provider-1, and VSX gateways. My skills extend into load balancing and application delivery, where I have implemented F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM) and Cisco ACE platforms in high-availability clusters to provide uninterrupted application access. I have extensive experience configuring iRules, persistence policies, and SSL offload for enterprise applications. I am also proficient in Cisco Nexus platforms (7k, 5k, 2k) with VDC, vPC, and FEX configurations, as well as NX-OS upgrades and migrations from IOS to NX-OS in data center environments. Beyond Cisco, I have worked with Juniper routers (E, J, M, T series), Juniper EX switches (2200–8200 series), and Juniper NetScreen firewalls (NS50, SSG, ISG series). In addition to hands-on engineering, I emphasize the importance of technical documentation and knowledge transfer. I regularly create detailed network diagrams and technical documentation using Microsoft Visio and Office, ensuring operational clarity and consistency.
