About Saied Mostafa Moazzami

My name is Saied Mostafa Moazzami, DDS, MS, FICD, former Associate Professor in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry Department and Dental Research Center in Mashhad School of Dentistry- Iran. I received my DDS degree in 1991 and Master of Science Diploma of Operative and Esthetic Dentistry in 1994 from the same school. I have been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate preclinical and clinical teaching including Operative Dentistry courses, clinical mentoring and research activity since 1991 in various capacities including as a lecturer, assistant professor, and associate professor respectively. I was also privileged to become the director of the post-graduate program in Operative Dentistry during 2010-2011. During this period, I performed some research projects. Additionally, I have been involved in the supervisory role of 60 undergraduate and postgraduate students’ original research theses. I have published 39 original peer review papers, 4 case report papers, and 20 pending original and case report manuscripts. I participated in writing a national operative dentistry book, published in 2016, and authored a Dental Anatomy Book in 2015. My passion for innovation has led me to be the inventor of six devices, five materials and ten techniques, including two issued patents: “First Drinking Simulator” which has received a US patent in December 2014 (Patent No: B2) and Xenon Light of dental unit (Iranian Patent No: 68806) and some other pending patent. I have participated in over 70 national and international oral and 7 posters presentations at scientific meetings. I have contributed and retained memberships to several national and international academic and professional activities and associations including ADA, IADR, and AACD. Concurrently I have had my own dental practice office since 1995 and worked as a volunteer one day a week in a mentally retard charity association dental clinic.
