About Sailaja Devarakonda

A dynamic clinical research professional with hands-on experience in managing and contributing to high-impact research projects. I possess extensive organizational, administrative, and supervisory skills, particularly in training clinical research personnel by identifying and addressing their needs. I hold a Master’s degree in Dentistry and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research. I have several publications in reputable journals such as the British Dental Journal, the Journal of Research and Advancement in Dentistry, and the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research. In my current role, I manage Oncology Clinical Trials focussing on pain research at UHN, leveraging my expertise in EPIC, Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). My contributions include leading a Phase interventional clinical trial focused on chronic postsurgical pain in cancer patients. Moreover, I support the research group working on interventional and observational studies of cardiac population. Additionally, I am closely associated with the study recruitment enrolling participants for opioid-related and cannabis pain research. My skill set includes Health Care, Psychology & Behavior Management, Scientific Writing, and Risk Management. My research skills and certifications encompass, Good Clinical Practice, Informed Consent Process, Clinical Data Management (REDCap), Clinical Trial Management System, Clinical Trial Monitoring, Clinical Trial Life Cycle, Research Development, Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Randomized Controlled Trials, and Oncology Clinical Trials. Proficient in Source Data Review (SDR), Source Data Verification (SDV), and Case Report Form (CRF) review. Additionally, my volunteering experience includes community service, having led teams in activities such as organizing awareness and counseling camps on well-being and hygiene for children and parents in community schools and colleges.
