About Saja Hussein

As a motivated Computer Science student at the University of Texas at Arlington, I am pursuing my passion for technology as a Junior. With a broad curiosity for the field, I aim to explore various areas of computer science to deepen my knowledge and develop a well-rounded skill set. My ultimate goal is to embark on a career that allows me to not only collaborate on software development projects, but also understand and address the needs of customers. I am eager to bring my drive and problem-solving abilities to a team and make a meaningful impact in the industry. As the current Executive Director of HackUTA 2023 (as well as an officer of ACM, Association for Computing Machinery), I am dedicated to driving the success of the event by setting clear goals and objectives, creating a comprehensive plan to achieve them, and leading a talented team of directors. I am responsible for coordinating with my colleagues to ensure that all aspects of the hackathon run smoothly and efficiently. Through my efforts, I ensure that all tasks and assignments are completed on time, and I am committed to providing the highest level of leadership and direction to my team. Beyond HackUTA, I am proud to serve as an officer for MOBI, a software engineering club where I help to host workshops, game nights, and social coding events, as well as organize club projects. When I'm not in school or coding, I love to engage in a variety of leisure activities. Some of my favorite pastimes include playing video games, soccer, exploring in nature, spending time with friends, and trying new experiences.
